Port Adelaide Football Club Best & Fairest

On Friday night I had the pleasure of attending the Port Adelaide Football Clubs @pafc Best and Fairest to show our ongoing support to the club and my personal sponsored played; Sam Gray
You would have heard us cheering on Sam and his brother Tom when they both received their awards on the night!

Sam Gray playing in the 2017 AFL season.

I would also like to formally introduce Katherine Grantham to the team; Katherine (dressed in black) is officially a proud Ray White North Adelaide team member and has come on board as a Sales Associate. You will see Katherine buzzing around at all open inspections, auctions and everything else from now on.

A quick mention also to the wonderful Grace Weber(in white); whom is an outstanding member of the Ray White Corporate team - someone who makes sure everything is running like clock work...not to mention she is incredibly talented; she actually made the dress by hand!

A fantastic night was had; congratulations to Port Adelaide Football Club again for an outstanding season both in AFL and SANFL and again to Sam and Tom Gray for all of your achievments.
Katherine, Kashalia, Taylor and I look forward to attending the games next season and continuing our support through player and club sponsorship.

Not JUST a Real Estate Professional....

Not just a Real Estate Professional but also a Soccer Coach!

I have loved coaching the West Adelaide Hellas U11s and the Brompton Primary School girls soccer teams this year ⚽️

The school team is gearing up for the Brompton Cup soon and we can't wait to get out there and show them what we've got!

The images below show me holding my Coaches medal for West Adelaide Hellas and Sponsors thank you trophy as I am also a sponsor of the entire club, along with photos of my teams.

Community is a huge passion of mine; and among other things, sponsoring sporting clubs is a way I put back into the community.
Through my referral program I am able to support the clubs that believe in me and what I do as a Real Estate Professional.

Reflection and Acceptance

My congratulations to Alex Ouwens and Andrew Friebe.

As you all would be aware after my last few posts; I recently agreed to put my hat in the ring for a Board of Directors position for REISA after being nominated by a few people I highly respect.

My reasoning for agreeing to apply for such a position is due to my passion and drive for the industry that I am apart of, Real Estate.

I want to see the industry become a true profession, that is respected and trusted. I want to see the industry grow and develop, moving into the future, accepting and adapting to change so that it can progress and improve as required.

As I say in the above video, this has only increased my drive to continue to work hard and create a difference. Hopefully I will be there again next year as a nominee for the board of directors, but until then I will continue to do my part as a REISA member, a board member for the Next Generation committee for REISA and the Principal of Ray White North Adelaide.

Have an amazing week everyone!

Rachel

A Humbling Endorsement

A huge shout out to Jason Mills for his incredible support.
This amazing video, endorsing myself and Alex Ouwens to be on the Board of Directors from REISA – Real Estate of South Australia.

I would like to mention my strong support for Alex Ouwens, whom I believe has been a brilliant leader of the board for the past 2 years.

I am very excited to be running for a board position and thoroughly appreciate the support of people like Jason.
I highly admire Jason; an incredible award winning professional sales agent, whom is an outstanding person both personally and professionally.

I encourage all REISA members to vote, the cut off time is fast approaching.

REISA Board of Directors Nomination

It is with great excitement that I announce I have accepted the nomination to sit on the REISA Board of Directors after being encouraged to do so by many of my peers.

I encourage all who are members of REISA to please vote as soon as possible as the cut off date is fast approaching.
If you are not already a member and are interested in becoming one; please follow the below link..followed promptly of course by getting online and voting!

https://www.reisa.com.au/membershipinformation/membership-categories

Something I pride myself on is staying honest, open and transparent with my clients and community. Because of this I have decided to release to the public my personal application. Enjoy.

Several suggestions, outstanding notable support, I’m humbly nominating for the REISA Board of Directors.

Many REISA members/colleagues and my networks are aware, I’m highly motivated, goal oriented with proven, respected project management skills.

Working for some of the World’s biggest/most recognised marine companies (AFE, Tuna Boat Owners, Australia Maritime and Fisheries Academy), I’ve experienced high-pressure management roles.

Intuitive, experienced in recruitment/training/assessment/reporting, marketing/promotion have transitioned me into my REISA Next Generation Committee role - mentoring/maintaining, enthusiastic entrants into South Australia’s progressive real estate world.

Industries I’ve worked within, recognise my variety of life/professional work-experience, resulting consultancy roles undertaken, with positions on boards assisting industry continual improvement (CRC Advisory Committee, Australian-Indonesian Business Council, SA Aquaculture Advisory Council).

Seeking challenges with passion professionally to benefit/promote my industry, this opportunity allows me to assist taking Real Estate to a respected profession/industry admired by all for:

  • Technological advancements
  • Community service
  • Demonstrating to society the necessity of real estate professionals, not lead generators/industry disruptors
  •  Utilising/supporting the leading industry body to stabilise the future of real estate in SA.

Thank you for your consideration. My energy, drive, life experience will provide that spark to continually improve the leadership on the REISA Board.

Childhood Cancer

Screen Shot 2017-08-25 at 8.38.39 am.png

I am very excited about the relationship I have formed with Childhood Cancer over the last few months and can not wait for what the future holds.

The Childhood Cancer Association is one of Australia's key childhood cancer support organisations, dedicated to supporting children living with cancer, and their families.

The Childhood Cancer Association supports children with cancer and their families from South Australia & Northern Territory, as well as families from country Victoria and New South Wales, when their child receives treatment in Adelaide.

Support is tailored to meet the needs of every individual family.  Key services and support include: professional counselling, daily hospital visits, sibling support, accommodation for country & interstate families, respite accommodation for all families, financial assistance, education support via home tutoring, and bereavement support.

The Childhood Cancer Association relies solely on the generous support of the community, to enable it to continue to provide vital services and support to families in need.

Rachel Lawrie - Ray White North Adelaide will do everything in our power to support such a fantastic foundation.

Australian Lions Hearing Dogs

Screen Shot 2017-08-23 at 2.10.58 pm.png

I couldn't be more proud to be in partnership with the Australian Lions Hearing Dogs for 2017 and 2018.

One in six Australians have some form of hearing loss with this number expected to rise to one in four by 2050. This number is greatly increased in older Australians. The technological advances with hearing aids and cochlear implants continue to improve with each passing day, however there are times when something else is needed. This is where a Lions Hearing Dog helps!

From the hard of hearing person who takes their aid off at night to the profoundly deaf person where no aids help, many Australians live at risk when they can’t hear sounds such as the knock at the door, a telephone or, most seriously, a smoke alarm.

Since 1982 Lions Hearing Dogs have provided a set of “furry ears” to hundreds of Australians, all possible from the ongoing support of Lions Clubs across Australia.

The Australian Lions Hearing Dogs National Headquarters in the Adelaide Hills is the only accredited Training Centre in Australia, with the program being accredited by Assistance Dogs International.

To continue providing this service to deaf and hard of hearing Australians they need our support.

You will often see myself and my team down at Alberton Oval with the Australian Lions Hearing Dogs cheering on the Magpies.

2017 T20 Celebrity Charity Cricket Match

Continuing my major sponsorship with Prospect District Cricket Club, the third charity cricket match was successfully run on Sunday February 12th 2017 at Prospect Oval, raising money for the Little Heroes Foundation to support seriously ill children.

Little Heroes Foundation raises funds towards essential equipment and services for seriously ill children and their families. In the last 20 years they have raised close to $20 million  dollars for life saving facilities at Adelaide's Women and Children's Hospital and provide much required daily support to families through the Little Heroes Care Program. This amazing result by an outstanding foundation made even more impressive with no government funding behind the Little Heroes Foundation.

I am truly grateful to the time and effort so many people gave up to volunteer and support this years event. We successfully raised over $13,000 on the day. My target was $20,000 and I am not giving up until we have hit this target for a six.

I would politely like to ask a favour once again for everyone to take a little time to help the Little Heroes Foundation. They are currently in need of urgent funds for critical medical equipment.

It  is as simply as clicking on to the following link and in section 4 reason for supporting note CHARITY CRICKET and hopefully we can get the funds beyond $20,000.

https://www.littleheroesfoundation.com.au/Donate-Today

The Little Heroes Foundation is currently supporting over 130 families through what would be one of the most trying and horrific times in their lives. I personally have given significantly and will continue to as if I were in the position of any of these families, I would be forever grateful for the Foundations support.

This event has raised both my daughters, Kashalia and Taylor, awareness of how important that we have such amazing support network as this to help. Both my girls now realise the importance of family, health and community as a whole and dug into their own pocket money and gave generously. Kashalia has even put in her future goals (maybe a little goal orientated like her mother, LOL) to continue to help raise money for children and their families that the Little Heroes Support through their Care Program.

I personally want to thank the champion businesses and superstar people who made the day possible (click on the name for a direct link).

Life Challenges Guiding Us The Right Way

In 2014, as my little one Taylor says, "Back in the Day", I was invited in to do an appraisal on a wonderful family home. This family knew exactly where they were going and what they were trying to achieve with preparing the property for sale and developing their new residence. It was an appraisal for a future sale in 18 months to two years. Little did we know, that the relationship our families were to form, would not be focused on real estate, but about embracing the situations that were put in front of us.

2016 turned out to be a horrific year health wise for both our families. My ill health putting me in a position of uncertainty for my future, whereby I no longer could work in real estate let alone being able to keep any contacts I had made, and the horrific challenge of IBD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, that this amazing family had to face with their beautiful daughter, Melissa.

I remember laying in the Acute Medical Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and receiving a message through social media from Carol, Melissa's Mum, re-establishing contact and enquiring how I was, not knowing my circumstances. Little did I know either what her family, more so, what Melissa was enduring. I filled Carol in on what had happened to me and at this point I believe our professional relationship turned into a genuine friendship and understanding of life perspective.

Melissa O'Connell in March 2016 was rushed to hospital by her mother and faced the biggest challenge of her life, to stay alive. IBD had crushed her world, depleting her body from vital nutrients, stripping her totally of any physical capabilities. With great strength, will power, determination and an outstanding amount of discipline, Melissa has fought her way back, teaching herself to walk again, setting goals and smashing them with her fitness, health, going on holidays, completing fun runs and raising awareness of IBD, learning karate and now beginning her own tutoring business.

5 months after learning to walk again, Melissa successfully completed the Peoples Choice Undies Run to Kick Bowel Cancer in the Butt with Rory Sloane and Kane Cornes. She was also the second highest individual fund raiser for the event.

5 months after learning to walk again, Melissa successfully completed the Peoples Choice Undies Run to Kick Bowel Cancer in the Butt with Rory Sloane and Kane Cornes. She was also the second highest individual fund raiser for the event.

While Melissa has been fighting her way back to good health, both my daughters Kashalia and Taylor have struggled grasping some educational concepts, resulting them losing confidence in their school work. Speaking openly about this to Carol, she suggested with Melissa now moving into university studies as a teacher, maybe she could tutor them. I agreed that it would actually be good for all three of them and so the tutoring began.

Like I said this is not about real estate, this is about how life challenges put before us guide us in the right direction. I cannot speak highly enough of this outstanding, beautiful young lady. Melissa O'Connell has brought a world of light into my girls lives. Within 4 Weeks what both Kashalia and Taylor have learnt, but more so retained is an incredible amount of information that they were not understanding at school. Their confidence has grown and most importantly they are having so much fun and cannot wait to share and continually practice the principals that Melissa has taught them.

If you are looking for a ray of light here in Adelaide to help guide your child in the right direction, then I cannot recommend anyone more highly than Melissa. I have mentored and trained people of all ages and genres, I have undertaken education and training from many teachers and coaches myself, and you either have a connection or you don't. Melissa connects, because she genuinely cares, conducts herself with passion and professionalism. With all the appropriate qualifications to undertake such a position, there is no excuse not to at least have a conversation with her if you think your child requires help with their studies.

The girls and I are writing this to not only recommend you as a tutor, but wishing you the very best of luck with your tutoring business and also for your dreams and goals ahead. To accomplish what you have had to and wanted to in the last 12 months is astonishing. The girls and I are forever grateful to you and your family and are super glad you are in our lives.

With a natural gift for reading people and 15 years experience running marketing campaigns at global corporations, Andrew now applies his passion for branding and digital to assisting professionals. He states, "Your personal brand is the best way to attract referrals and new business. Business hasn't changed much, clients buy from people they like and trust. The difference is that the first point of contact with prospects is your online information so you better have it right".

That's why he created a unique methodology called "e-ttraction" to help professionals boost their careers and attract more referrals to their businesses. The system was documented in his popular book "Creating a Powerful Brand" published in 2014.

The "e-ttraction" process helps clients to understand their personal core skills and drivers, build their online presence in social media and learn how to leverage their brand to add connections with engaging content.

Andrew takes his clients on a digital journey form nervous beginners, to confidently using personal branding as their marketing system. he genuinely loves his work and clients relish his passion for improving their brands and businesses.

Raptors Coach versus Hellas Sponsor in Auction Showdown

Friday September 9th 2016, George Kargiotis and Rachel Lawrie will go head to head in the first ever "In Real Estate Auction Competition". Ray White South Australia is hosting its internal 2016 Auctioneer of the Year Competition, with a very exciting and unique twist that will set it apart from others. On the auction competition circuit it is the most realistic auction competition ever held.

The competition will be the first ever to require auctioneers to attend the open inspection prior to the auction and brief both the vendor and the agent, before holding the on-site auction at the front of the property. This auction scenario has been designed to allow contestants the best opportunity to shine and give their peak performance.

The competition has been well received by the franchise group, with a mixed field of experienced and novice auctioneers taking up the challenge. There is a great blend of very experienced auctioneers and a number of first-timers taking part this year, bringing some really exciting moments to the stage and will make for some great spectating.

The contestants for this year’s competition includes industry veterans Brett Pilgrim, Jason O’Halloran and Trent Godfrey, all regulars on the competition circuits. Alex Ellis, George Kargiotis, Michael Cavuoto, Petra Mells and Rachel Lawrie have all been in the real estate industry for some time and have decided to give auction competitions a go for the first time.

But the real game is within the competition between the West Adelaide Hellas Raptors Coach, George Kargiotis and West Adelaide Hellas Sponsor, Rachel Lawrie. Both George and Rachel are highly competitive in the real estate world, but knowing their underlying nature and passionate love of sport it is sure to be the real show down.

George is not only a highly successful and consistent real estate agent, he formerly was a brilliant mortgage broker transferring his stella customer service skills to his new love of real estate. Additionally his passionate and highly competitive nature stemming from playing as a goal keeper for 9 years with Pontian Eagles Amateur Soccer Club and coaching for 1 year, (successfully winning titles in his playing years), transfer directly into striving for sensational winning results in real estate. Impressively he continues to coach soccer with great passion, evident through a couple of season indiscretions seeing him benched. His first year heading Raptors he has lead the team to a respectable mid ladder finish. George's coaching motto, "Do as I say, not as I do".

As a highly successful marine biologist, multiple National, Grand National and Royal Show Champion equestrian rider, not to mention the many real estate awards she has accumulated in her short 3 year career, there is great expectations for this novice auctioneer.

This definitely is a moment not to miss, with George's soccer success and Rachel Rangers Pedigree this will be one soccer showdown. All public are welcome and can be part of this spectacular showdown at "Partridge House", 38 Partridge Street, Glenelg this Friday the 9th of September from 1pm-4pm.

International Elite Athletes - Adelaide - Urgent Accomodation Required

Adelaide has the privilege of hosting some world class elite athletes over this summer for a variety of sports. Unfortunately there is a lack of accomodation to cater for them all. I currently have a list of just over 20 athlete's that I am trying to secure homes in Adelaide for. Yes some are only for around 3 months, but the clubs/associations they are playing for are in the process to secure longer term contracts with them.

We have a variety of requirements, but the one thing that is standard is that the homes are fully furnished. I have players bringing their families, young single male and females that are looking for joint accomodation or host families with a broad spectrum of rental budgets. We require some homes within this next fortnight and some in another 6-8 weeks and in locations from Glenelg through to Semaphore, City through to Mawson Lakes.

If you think you can help or know of any possibilities long or short term, can you please contact me as soon as possible, and I will then put you in contact with the association/club the option is most suited to.

This is a sensational opportunity for you to build overseas relationships and help these amazingly talented people.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards

Rachel

Asef Hussaini - Welcome to Real Estate and Bring on Those Life Changing Goals

Asef Hussaini - Ray White SA Metro Sales Associate

Asef Hussaini - Ray White SA Metro Sales Associate

I would formally like to welcome Asef Hussaini to my team or probably more appropriately, my family. To become a sales associate/personal assistant to myself, you not only take on a general PA role, but have to learn to incorporate my girls, community and charity involvement and next generation real estate processes.

Asef is genuinely a delightful young gentleman that only completed his training to enter the real estate industry in March. With no previous experience at all in real estate apart from living in his parents and sister's home, what Asef brings to my team are qualities that cannot be taught. His willingness to learn, enthusiasm and energy, morals, ethics, logic, common sense and a work ethic that may only be second to myself are all going to make Asef one agent to watch out for over the next few years.

Asef has set some big goals and they directly align with my success in fulfilling my own. Therefore not only is he making himself accountable to my girls and I, but I am to him, as if one of does not hit our targets, then we both miss out. Dreams - Goals - Action - Realty - Fulfilled

Asef has a wonderful life story and once he has settled into his new role I am sure in time he will grant me an interview that will astound you all. But for now, welcome Asef and I sincerely look forward to helping you and your family achieve those goals. It will be tough going to begin, but the rewards at the end will be worth every bit of hard work put in.
