The Prospect District Cricket Club

The Prospect District Cricket Club (Known as ‘The Pirates’) is one of the longest standing and proudest clubs in the South Australian Cricket Association Grade Cricket Competition, having been established in 1928 and with 8 A Grade Premierships to its name. The club has been the home for numerous State and International stars, with players such as Sir Garfield Sobers, Barry Richards, Greg Blewett, Nathan Lyon, Rodney Hogg, Jeff Hammond, Andrew Zesers, Ashley Mallet and with over 50 players having represented South Australia.

Based at Prospect Oval, the Pirates have some of the best facilities amongst grade clubs in the state, resulting in a family and spectator friendly environment. Of recent times since the clubs previous A Grade premiership on 2000/01, it has fallen on tough times, but with the support of Ms Rachel Lawrie, the club has begun to move in the right direction. The clubs ambitions to once again become one of the premier grade clubs, have matched perfectly with the ambitions of Ms Lawrie. The ‘Rachel Lawrie T20 Match’ has become a highly anticipated event in the Prospect community cricket calendar.
The PDCC are proud to be supported by Rachel, and look forward to our partnership on and off the field.
